Testimonials

Nancy Stevens at the Race for the Cure."I've had the opportunity to work with Nancy since 1985. During this time I have observed or attended a number of public presentations, both large and small. In every case, Nancy exhibited a good grasp of the needs of her audience. She is informative without lecturing, and the human element emerges through her engaging style. Nancy is versatile and well-rounded, and consistently reaches her audience regardless of topic. I would highly recommend Nancy Stevens a public speaker."
J.L., EEO Specialist, State of Colorado Department of Personnel General Support Services, Denver, CO.

"When Nancy speaks, she has energy and fire that is clearly communicated. Her ability to drive herself toward excellence, which is obvious from her numerous national and international awards, comes across as an inspiration to those who hear her. Everyone is enriched by the experience. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a motivational speaker to groups from all walks of life." R.W.A, Associate Executive Director, Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, Lakewood, CO.

"Nancy is an inspiration to all who hear her. Her specialty topic on Disability Etiquette was a wonderful addition to our curriculum. She was truly a delight to listen to and she handled the audience's questions without faltering. Any organization would be lucky to have her as a speaker."
M.M., President, McGilly Marketing Services, Silverthorne, CO.

"She is confident enough to discuss topics that are not often discussed openly. She serves as an ambassador between the disabled community and the rest of us -- teaching us all how to get along better. She has taught me and my staff that disabilities are only a state of mind and that people get through life differently than others."
M.T. T, Tonti Management, Inc., Breckenridge, CO.

"Your presentation was magnificent and thoroughly enjoyed by our student athletes, parents and coaches. Your spirit and commitment captured your audience and sent them home with a wonderful message."

"I was so pleased to have Nancy Stevens as a guest speaker for the National Braille Association's professional development conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her open and honest approach in sharing her life stories captivated the audience. The inclusion of music in her performance was a wonderful touch. I would gladly recommend Nancy Stevens to any organization looking for a motivational speaker for their event. Her accomplishments will inspire anyone to pursue their dreams."

To Whom It May Concern:

Nancy Stevens participated as a Keynote Speaker and a Workshop Speaker in Colorado's 9th Annual Summer Institute Celebrating Kids and Families. As with many conferences, not all went as planned. A keynote presenter was unable to attend due to flight delays. We immediately requested her to fill in for the Keynote presentation the next day. She eagerly agreed to help us out!

Nancy's experiences and knowledge served as an incredible asset for the audience that attended this conference, which was made up of families who have children with a disability as well as service providers that work with young children with disabilities. Her stories combined with her beautiful music created an atmosphere filled with laughter, motivation and understanding. The following story depicts the impact of Nancy's gifts so well .... One participant attended the conference to hear the presenter who was unable to attend and was very disappointed to not hear that particular speaker. However, 30 minutes into Nancy's presentation, this same woman reached over to her friend and whispered "I am so glad I came here this morning!"

We were thrilled by Nancy's ability to step into a difficult situation and turn it into a great opportunity of learning for everyone. We highly recommend Nancy Stevens to speak to any group. The messages and lessons Nancy shares are universal to all people.

Sincerely,
Debi Reid Shelley Siegel Summer Institute Co-Chairs

Following the Woodland Girl Scout Sports Sampler Event in Wisconsin, Deb Kennedy writes:

"By far the highlight of this highly successful event was the "inspirational" message given by Nancy Stevens and the generous giving of herself and her time above and beyond the motivational message.

"Nancy spoke to over 300 scouts and adults, she kept them spell bound and encouraged the girls to set their goals. She is a living example of drawing on the God given powers, talents and inner strength when others tell you "you can't.

"The scout and leader evaluations both spoke highly of their respect and appreciation for Nancy. More than one leader and scout mentioned that they had had a wonderful experience, but if they had to choose, the " best" part, it would be the experience with Nancy. Many of the girls enjoyed her openess, and her willingness to answer personal questions about her handicap and day to day experiences. Others were in awe of her cheerful and enthusiastic outlook on life.

"On behalf of many Woodland Girl Scouts, I would highly reccommend Nancy Stevens as a speaker and role-model to any organization. I know first hand that she is able to relate well to both the child and the adult."

"You were very clear about what one can accomplish when you will not accept failure as an option. I applaud you and your successes and know that what you provided to our participants provoked a lot of thought and inspiration to succeed even in the most difficult times.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and motivating our group to bigger and better things."

Nancy Stevens was a complete gift to All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Colorado Springs. Her matter of fact speaking style about overcoming perceived obstacles in life was tremendously inspiring for the congregation. She may not leep over tall buildings with a single bound but after she spoke to our church I walked away thinking, I just might try a triathalon too!!

Nancy reminded this congregation to always trust our capes.

Thank You Nancy! I do not often write testimonials endorsing speakers but with Nancy I feel very comfortable saying that if you can bring her in for an appearance you will be thankful you did.
