And I'll Sing every day of my life CD

CD Jacket Cover for And I'll Sing every day of my lifeMy hope is that these songs inspire you to begin and complete your heart's desire; to move you from a place of "I wish I had" to "I'm glad I did."

Julia Cameron's book, The Artist's Way, inspired me to combine my love of teaching, storytelling and music into a career as a professional speaker and singer.

Several of the songs on this CD have been favorites since I began playing guitar when I was 13. Many are songs I perform during my motivational and disability awareness presentations.

Corner of the Sky portrays the feeling we often have when we aren't sure of our journey and goals. Every Long Journey reflects the glimmer when we start to believe we can accomplish our goals and understand what it takes to get there. On the Loose expresses love for the outdoors and the sense of adventure we often feel as we continue along our journey.

Thanks to Becky Barnes and the 1999-2000 fourth and fifth graders from Silverthorne Elementary School for helping me with I Had an Old Coat and The Kindergarten Wall. Thanks to the Summit County Seniors for their participation, too.

What You Do with What You've Got and Christians and the Pagans portray diversity and the need to value and be more accepting of people's differences.

Wings by Birgit expresses the need to let go of fears that hold us back from living life the way we want it. What holds you back?

I dedicate Mary Ellen Carter to Cas Smith from Kalamazoo College. She was my student leader during the freshman orientation Land and Sea outdoor adventure program. She showed me what it meant to push my limits.

It's a Pleasure to Know You was the first song I sang to Matt, my second Seeing Eye Dog.

I learned This Old Guitar from a camp counselor who inspired me to continued learning to play.

Because of the support I receive from many friends and family, I have been very fortunate to be able to create and complete many of my dreams. Most of the fun along the way has been the people I have met and gotten to know.

Two of my dreams have been to compete in a Paralympixs and to bicycle cross-country. I had the honor of competing in the 1998 Nagano Games as a member of the cross country ski team. This fall, just before my fortieth birthday, I will ride across the United States with a team of women, a project of Outward Bound. Our goal is to help girls define their "true selves" as unique young women.

I would like to thank Ed Billeaud, Producer, and Nancy Cook for encouraging me to complete my first CD.

Enjoy the Music!
